We are now taking orders for Christmas

Tick something off your Christmas ‘to do’ list and place your order with our estate butchers. Demand for traditional products like turkey is often very high, so its worth getting organised.

Or perhaps you’re not quite sure what to try this year and need inspiration for something different. Our butchers can help you with that too! Here’s a selection of what is on offer.

Poultry

With its origins dating back to Kind Henry VIII, turkey has long been a traditional Christmas feast. Its size and flavour make it a great choice for a large gathering, but if you’re serving to a smaller gathering, we have several other options:

White free-range turkeys
Kelly Bronze free-range turkey
Cockerel
Goose
Duck
Free-range chicken

 

Venison

Venison might still imply luxury to some, but its an affordable and everyday option (thanks to wild deer being so readily available on the estate). But it is easy to elevate it to a grand meal – take a look at Rachel Green’s Venison Wellington  recipe for example.

Three Bird Roast

Serve up a truly spectacular feast with a Three Bird Roast. This technique dates back to roman times, and were common in wealthy Tudor households (thanks again to King Henry VIII) as a symbol of prosperity.

We are offering two options – with all the preparation done for you, and full cooking instructions. Plus there’s a choice of types of stuffing – apple & cranberry or sage & onion, both gluten-free.

Option 1: 5.5kg Turkey, duck & pheasant
Option 2: 2.5kg Turkey, duck and guinea fowl

 

Lamb

Lamb isn’t immediately what springs to mind for Christmas, but with many mouths to feed it can make a great option for Christmas Eve or New Year celebrations. A large joint such as shoulder or leg is an easy slow-cook option, or turn up the sophistication with a dressed rack of lamb for the big day. All of the lamb is from the Ragley Estate, so you can be satisfied you are eating locally sourced and high quality produce.

Beef

Make beef your centrepiece this year by choosing dry-aged rib, straight from our in-store dry-ager. Order early and we will place your selected cut into the dry-ager to ensure it is in a controlled environment with precise temperature, humidity and airflow. This breaks down muscle tissue and results in a concentrated, intense flavour. Worth waiting for!

Pork

Pork has long been a staple of the Christmas menu. Our butchers have all the usual essentials for your table – pigs in blankets, back and streaky bacon, sausages and sausagemeat are all available for pre-order, or will be in store throughout December if you need a taster!

We also have larger pork joints such as boneless rolled loin, leg and shoulder.

Cooked Products
We will also have a range of cooked products. Stock changes frequently but look out for our own Ragley Sausage Rolls, Ragley Game Pie or Venison Pies and hand-made Pork Pies. Ask the butcher for availability and pre-ordering.

Tuesday 8am – 4pm
Wednesday 8am – 5pm
Thursday 8am – 5pm
Friday 8am – 5pm
Saturday 8am – 5pm
Sun – 8am – 12pm

You can choose your collection date and time – morning or afternoon from Monday 22nd December up until lunchtime on Christmas Eve. Please let us know if you would like an earlier collection – depending on the items in your order, we should be able to arrange this for you.

A simple £10 deposit will secure your order, then you can pay the balance on collection. You can add items to your order at any time.

Last order dates:
Cooked products – 15th December
All other products – 18th December (subject to availability on some items)
