The Avenger Triathlon11th June 2017
The iconic Avenger Triathlons return to Ragely Hall for the fifth year on Sunday 11 June. There are three triathlons: middle distance sometimes known as half ironman, standard or Olympic distance and a sprint distance suitable for novices. The swim takes place in the boating lake, the bike routes then take competitors along the drive and out into the beautiful, rolling Warwickshire and Worcestershire countryside, returning to Ragley Hall via the imposing main gates and up the sweeping drive past the Hall itself. The run course is based on a 5km lap through woodland tracks, gardens, historic outbuildings and fields of the estate.
There is also the Ragley Run, a 10km multi terrain run based on the triathlon run course. This provides all the competitors with a chance to enjoy some of the spectacular scenery Ragley Hall has to offer.
Triathlon competitors will start in several waves between 07:30 and 10:30 and the Ragely Run at 10:00.t
For family and friends who wish to cheer you on, Ragley has lots to offer including guided tours of the Ragley Hall state rooms, an adventure playground with 3D maze, Ragley Gardens, sculpture collection and following the swim waves, boating on the Lake - perfect for a fun family day out!
Refreshments will also be available in the Terrace Cafe (Ragley Hall) and Lakeside Lodge (Adventure Playground).
Dogs on leads are welcome by Lakeside and in the Park only (House and formal gardens no dogs please).
The Avenger is organised by Raceways Events CIC, a community interest company which donates all its profits to to the charity Kids Run Free. Kids Run Free is a charity dedicated to delivering fun running activities for toddlers to teens in both parks and schools across the UK.
